Khayal, rhythm, and emotion come alive as dusk deepens into night. Hosted by tabla master Amod Dandawate, this intimate evening baithak will feature the evocative voice of Madhuvanti Bhide, accompanied by harmonium talent Rajdeep Singh.

Ticketing & Event Policies
Cover Fee: A contribution of $25 per person is required to help cover event expenses. This concert is a community-supported event, and your support is sincerely appreciated. This Cover Fee is non-refundable.
Photography: To maintain the integrity of the performance, flash photography is not permitted during the event.
Dress Code: While not mandatory, traditional Indian attire is warmly encouraged to honor the cultural spirit of the evening.
Arrival Time: Performances will begin 6:00PM sharp, doors open at 5:45PM. Please arrive early to get situated, so as not to distract performers.
About the Artists
Amod Dandawate
Amod Dandawate is a dedicated tabla artist specializing in the Farrukhabad style. His musical journey began with early exposure to tabla through his father, Late Dr. Vasantrao Dandawate, and after completing his engineering degree, he pursued the art form through other acclaimed teachers. He has been under the tutelage of Pt. Samir Chatterjee for over a decade, receiving intensive training in the guru-shishya tradition. Amod is a sought-after accompanist, having supported numerous major artists from India and the US. He is also actively involved in teaching and promoting Indian classical music in the tri-state area, and now Bay area. Apart from his musical achievements, Amod also holds a doctorate in Electrical Engineering.
Madhuvanti Bhide
Madhuvanti Bhide is an established Hindustani Classical Vocalist based in the Bay Area. Hailing from the pedagogical lineage of Gaan Saraswati Pandita Dr. Alka Deo Marulkar and Pandit Rajabhau Deo, Madhuvanti's unique repertoire is steeped in the extensive 'Samagra Gayaki'—an aesthetic synthesis of Gwalior, Kirana, and Jaipur Gharanas—developed by her gurus. Apart from Hindustani Classical, Madhuvanti partakes in a melange of South Asian forms, including semi-classical film music, and light forms of Hindi, Marathi, Geet, & Ghazal. Rajdeep Singh Rajdeep Singh has been learning harmonium for the past five years under the tutelage of Shri Tanmay Deochake. He often accompanies Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri with nagma on stage and in his tabla classes at Ali Akbar Khan College. Outside of music, he works as a Design Engineer in San Jose.
